Daria Kempka
LogicMonitor: Director of UX Design

About the speaker

As Director of UX at LogicMonitor, I lead a dynamic global team of designers and researchers who are on a mission to deliver the best, most useful, most usable observability platform in the world. Before this role, I led digital strategy at Marquette University where I drove digital branding and marketing initiatives and oversaw the people, the processes, and the technology that powered them. I’ve brought human-centered design to every role I’ve held, whether designing, developing, producing or leading because the work has to work for the people it’s meant for. My super power is getting cross-functional teams together to solve messy problems in new spaces — I’m deeply into UX for AI (and AI for UX) right now.

AI Frameworks and Futures for Creativity and Collaboration

Brandon Harwood
IBM: Innovation, Design & Strategy Lead

Description

Designers have a rich history of collaborating. We elevate creativity and innovation by actively including others in the design process, and more passively, by taking in the lessons and ideas built by those before us to guide our practice. But has a new collaborator emerged? When AI can gather context and generate ideas, questions, and observations in response, how does this change creative collaboration? Does it change? Can AI make us more creative? Or does it narrow our thinking? In this workshop, we?re going to take a nuanced look at AI, human creativity, and design to explore human-AI co-creation without blindly giving into the hype. You can expect to learn about new interfaces for creative collaboration and introspection, discover potential futures for designers, and use experimental tools and frameworks to design AI solutions that promote human creativity, rather than have the AI 'perform creativity' for us. Join us to co-create the future of innovative, adaptive, and inspired design.
